The Dangers of Wifi and Bluetooth

dangers of WIFI and bluetooth The effects of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) on the brain and health are increasingly being studied and none of what’s coming out is positive. There are dangers of wifi and Bluetooth signals that we may not fully understand, as long-term studies are few. According to the World Health Organization, EMR is rated as a class 2B possible carcinogen, the same category as lead, gasoline fumes, and the pesticide DDT.

Our constant bombardment by wireless and Bluetooth signals may cause cognitive and neuro symptoms. Reported symptoms include:
  • Headaches
  • ADHD/ADD
  • Insomnia
  • Brain fog
  • Dizziness
  • Tingling/buzzing in body
  • Short-term memory loss
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Mood swings, and more.

In addition, there is conclusive evidence that cell phone radiation causes brain tumors in rats. Studies on children with ADD/ADHD and even autism show that installing timers that turn off wifi signals at night significantly reduces symptoms of hyperactivity, improves attention span, sleep, and behavior. California just issued guidelines for reducing EMF exposure citing them as a public health concern.

Ways to Protect Yourself from the Dangers of Wifi and Bluetooth

  • Protect Yourself from the Dangers of WIFI and BluetoothPurchase a timer outlet for your wireless router. You can set it for any time and day of the week combo. Configure it so that wifi turns off during the hours you are asleep. This alone significantly reduces the dangers of wifi.
  •  Put your cell phone in airplane mode when you sleep. Don’t sleep with your phone on your bed/under your pillow.
  • Do not drive with your cell phone in your lap.
  • Instead of using Bluetooth or wireless speakers, headsets, or fitness bands on a regular basis, opt for speakerphone or regular aux cords instead. (I got an old school Jawbone UP band that plugs into my phone to sync!)
  • Think twice about wearing an Apple watch or any other device in constant contact with your skin that transmits wifi.
  • Don’t carry your cellphone in your pocket or bra. Carry it away from your body in a bag or purse.
  • Don’t use your cellphone when it has two bars or less, this increases the EMF signals. Just turn it off until you have better service.
  • Avoid purchasing devices for your home which have constant wifi or Bluetooth output like lights that connect to Alexa.
  • Unplug wifi and Bluetooth speakers in your home when not in use.
  • Consider high-quality EMF blocking cases for your phone, like the SafeSleeve.
  • Plug your laptop or desktop directly into the internet line instead of connecting via wifi when you have the option.
  • If you spend a lot of time on wifi devices, consider a low dose melatonin supplement and l-carnitine. Both may offset some of the cellular damage from EMRs.
