About Rachel
Rachel’s Story
Rachel began practicing healing work at the age of 19, when she lived at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, a residential ashram rooted in Hatha yoga philosophy. There, she immersed herself in yoga, meditation, and the healing arts, becoming certified in Kripalu Bodywork & Energy Balancing.
Her early foundations in movement and bodywork naturally evolved into deeper studies of East Asian medicine, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. Over the past 20 years, Rachel has integrated these practices with somatic and earth-centered healing traditions, offering a uniquely holistic and trauma-informed approach.
Rachel’s philosophy as a practitioner is to meet each patient as a whole person. She believes healing must address body, mind, and spirit, and that true medicine comes not only from needles and herbs but also from compassion, ritual, and reconnecting with the natural world.
Originally from Long Island, Rachel has made Boulder her home for over 20 years. She is a single parent raising two teens, and outside the clinic she loves hiking the Colorado foothills, tending her medicinal plant garden, and wildcrafting native plants. A fun fact about Rachel: she was a fusion belly dancer performer with Denver’s Phantom Circus, a joyful reflection of her lifelong love of movement and embodied expression.
